Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to the details you give us when you pre-register for TripX on thetripx.in. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We've kept it short and plain.
Who we are
TripX is a motorcycle navigation pod and app being built in India. For this notice, "we" means the TripX team, who decide how your details are used. You can reach us at hello@thetripx.in.
What we collect
Only what you type into the pre-registration form:
- your email address (required);
- your name, phone number, city and bike, if you choose to give them;
- your phone type, the price range you'd pay and your mount preference;
- the time you signed up, and that you agreed to be contacted.
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we collect it
To tell you about TripX's launch: news, launch pricing and when you can buy one. Your answers about your bike, phone and price also help us decide what to build. We won't use your details for anything else, and we'll only contact you because you asked us to.
We never sell your data
We don't sell, rent or trade your details, and we don't share them with advertisers.
Where it's stored
Your details are saved in a private Google Sheets spreadsheet that only the TripX team can open. We keep them until TripX launches and for a reasonable time after, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your details at any time, and you can withdraw your consent to be contacted. Email hello@thetripx.in from the address you registered with, and we'll act on it within 30 days. Every email we send will also tell you how to stop hearing from us.
If you're not happy with how we handled a request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Pre-registration is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you've already given us, we'll email you first.
